Cell-abration

by Sujatha on May 8, 2010

Hello folks,

Cell-Abration Service is all about getting our small groups more involved in the Saturday evening gathering.  We are asking each of the 5 groups to take a portion of the service on each first Saturday of the month.

Each of our 5 groups has been given a number based on the time of the week they have their regular meetings. There are 5 key tasks that are associated with each first Saturday gathering of the month.  Below is the group number and schedule for the next cell-abration service on the 1st of May.

Please be as creative as you can with your portion of the evening as a group.  Take a few minutes during one of your meetings to make your plans and assign as many people as possible a part to play in the service.

A brief description of what is expected is given along side of each of the aspects that make up the whole first Saturday evening church gathering event.   Please be patient as we work out the kinks and problems that may come along with such an arrangement.

If you need assistance Jared can help you with the selection.

Group 4 – Leading Communion = the cups and trays are in the cupboard provided for our things at CACC.  The bread/crackers and juice must be brought, the communion must be prepared prior to the start of the service, it must be served to the fellowship and a small 5 min bible study regarding observing communion is encouraged as well as clean up.  Assistance from Pastor Kevin for this is welcome.

Group 5 – Organising the Shared Meal = The group can either plan to bring the meal or ask the members of the fellowship to bring it.  Serving, set up, clean up and take down are part of this responsibility. Also, don’t forget the “tea” essentials.   Assistance from Bambi regarding the details of the shared meal is welcome.

Group 1 – Message/Teaching/Testimonies/Prayer – both a teaching from scripture and/or testimonies of what the Lord is doing in each other’s lives is really important and encouraged.  Assistance from Pastor Kevin if needed is welcome.

Group 3 – Ushering/offering/greeting/Service MC – leading the meeting, helping with seating, handing out notices, greeting people at the door, and taking up the offering are a part of this role.  Putting each of these 5 key areas into an order for the evening and including as many people as possible in the other aspects is encouraged.  Assistance from Pastor Kevin is welcome.
